BIOMECHANOIDS

In a time in which the ideas of the surrealists could become reality, Giger invented the biomechanoids. In 1968 hebiomechanic landscape IV, 1976 created his silk screen print series called Biomechanoids. For Giger the biomechanoids reflected a harmonious mix of techniques, mechanics and the creature.

Giger created primitive arm-leg-monsters and provided them with sensors and all kind of technical intestines like they were robots. He developed this 3-limb construction in 1963. The final result was a series op paintings.
