Statue of Charioteer This bronze statue of a charioteer (mercifull person) is originally part of a group reflecting a charioteer and his horses. It dates back to 470 before Christ. This figure represents a charioteer of a king. The statue is a perfect example of the early Greek Classic Style. Statues dating from this period are more lively than statues from the earlier Archaic period. The eyes are made of glass with lashes of bronze.
