The De Royal Abby Church in St. Denis near Paris, is the first real example of gothic architecture. The rebuilding of this church was done by Sugar, who was connected with the church. To increase the lighting Sugar had to reconstruct the whole building. The lighting gave the interior a heavenly atmosphere and improved their prayers.
